The River Ness Salmon Fishery District (Baits and Lures) Regulations 2007

Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 33 of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 20031 and of all other powers enabling them to do so.
The Regulations are made on application to the Scottish Ministers by the River Ness district salmon fishery board.
In accordance with paragraphs 10, 11 and 14 of schedule 1 to that Act as applied by section 33(7) of that Act they have carried out all necessary consultations, complied with all necessary procedures and considered all objections duly made.
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the River Ness Salmon Fishery District (Baits and Lures) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 17th October 2007.
Specification of prohibited baits and lures and areas of application2
There is specified as prohibited for the purposes of the definition of “rod and line” in section 4(1) of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 2003–
a
in relation to the River Ness salmon fishery district, natural prawns and shrimps (whether fresh or preserved, dyed or natural colour) and any part thereof; and
b
in relation to that part of the River Ness salmon fishery district above Dochfour Weir, any worm artificial or natural (whether fresh or preserved) and any part thereof.
Revocation3
The River Ness Salmon Fishery District (Baits and Lures) Regulations 19902 are revoked.
