Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19721 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and after consultation as required by Article 9 of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety2, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Curd Cheese (Restriction on Placing on the Market) (Scotland) Revocation Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 8th March 2007.

Revocation2

The Curd Cheese (Restriction on Placing on the Market) (Scotland) Regulations 20063 are revoked.

These Regulations revoke the Curd Cheese (Restriction on Placing on the Market) (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (S.S.I. 2006/512).

Those Regulations implemented, in relation to Scotland, Commission Decision 2006/694/EC prohibiting the placing on the market of curd cheese manufactured in a dairy establishment in the United Kingdom (O.J. No. L 283, 14.10.2006, p.59). That Decision was repealed by Commission Decision 2007/48/EC of 2nd March 2007 repealing Commission Decision 2006/694/EC of 13th October 2006 prohibiting the placing on the market of curd cheese manufactured in a dairy establishment in the United Kingdom (O.J. No. L 65, 3.3.2007, p.10).

No regulatory impact assessment has been prepared in relation to these Regulations.
