Protection of officers

17.  A British sea fishery officer or a person assisting such an officer by virtue of article 14(3) or 15(l)(b) or (3) shall not be liable in any civil or criminal proceedings for anything done in the purported exercise of the powers conferred by articles 14, 15, or 16 if the court is satisfied that–

(a)the act was done in good faith;

(b)there were reasonable grounds for doing it; and

(c)it was done with reasonable skill and care.
