12. For section 3 of the Wild Mammals (Protection) Act 1996 (interpretation), substitute–
“1. Interpretation
In this Act “wild mammal” means any mammal which is not a protected animal within the meaning of section 17 of the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 (asp 11).”.
