39. In rule G7 (payment of periodic contributions for increased benefits)(1)–
(a)in paragraph (1), for “paragraphs (2) to (4)”, substitute “paragraphs (2) and (3)”; and
(b)for paragraphs (3) to (4)(2), substitute–
“(3) If the fire and rescue authority are satisfied that payment of the periodical contributions is causing, or is likely to cause, financial hardship they may consent to the discontinuance of payment for such period as they think fit.”.
Rule G7 was amended by article 2 of and paragraph 17 of the Schedule to S.S.I. 2004/385 and article 2 of and paragraph 53 of the Schedule to S.S.I. 2005/566.
Rule I2 was amended by article 2 of and paragraph 58 of the Schedule to S.S.I. 2005/566.
