3. Where the General Teaching Council for Scotland(1) has received the notification, under section 9B of the 1965 Act, before the day appointed under article 2—
(a)neither the Disciplinary Sub-committee nor the Investigating Sub-committee(2) shall make a direction under section 11A of the 1965 Act; and
(b)the Disciplinary Sub-committee shall not make a direction under section 11(1)(ii) or (iii) of the 1965 Act.

The Council was established under section 1(1) of the 1965 Act.

The Disciplinary and Investigating Sub-committees are sub-committees of the Professional Conduct Committee which was established under section 10(1) of the 1965 Act, as amended by section 50 of the Standards in Scotland’s Schools etc. Act 2000.
