1. This Schedule applies in respect of premises where poultry or other captive birds are kept, other than—
(a)slaughterhouses;
(b)quarantine centres;
(c)any premises specified as a border inspection post in Schedule 2 to the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export)(Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2005(1);
(d)premises where possession of the avian influenza virus is authorised under the Specified Animal Pathogens Order 1998(2).
(2) In this paragraph, “quarantine centre” means premises where imported birds are quarantined on arrival in Scotland.
