The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Erskine Bridge Tolls Act 1968(1) and of all others enabling them in that behalf, and having given not less than fourteen days' public notice in accordance with section 6(3) of that Act, hereby make the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Erskine Bridge (Temporary Suspension of Tolls) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 1st April 2006.

Provision

2.  The tolls leviable in accordance with the Erskine Bridge Tolls Order 1992(2) shall be suspended during the period beginning on 1st April 2006 and ending on 1st July 2006 at 2400 hours.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order suspends tolls on the Erskine Bridge from 1st April 2006 until 2400 hours on 1st July 2006.

1968 c. 4 as amended by the Erskine Bridge Tolls Act 2001 (asp 12). The powers conferred on the Secretary of State were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46).
