1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Legal Aid (Financial Conditions) (Scotland) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 11th April 2005.
(2) In these Regulations, “the Act” means the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986.
2. These Regulations shall apply only in relation to any case where an application for civil legal aid is made on or after 11th April 2005.
3. For the yearly amount of £9,475 specified in section 15(1) of the Act(1) substitute the yearly amount of £9,570.
4. For the capital amount of £10,455 specified in section 15(2)(a) of the Act(2) substitute the capital amount of £10,779.
5. For the yearly amount of £2,902 specified in section 17(2)(a) of the Act(3) substitute the yearly amount of £2,931.
6. For the capital amount of £6,271 specified in section 17(2)(b) of the Act(4) substitute the capital amount of £6,465.
7. The Civil Legal Aid (Financial Conditions) (Scotland) Regulations 2004(5) are hereby revoked except in relation to any case where an application for civil legal aid is made to the Scottish Legal Aid Board before 11th April 2005.
