The A1 (East of Haddington to Dunbar) Special Road Regulations 2004

Citation, commencement and extent

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the A1 (East of Haddington to Dunbar) Special Road Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on the date declared by the Scottish Ministers as traffic authority(1) by notice in accordance with the Special Roads (Notice of Opening) (Scotland) Regulations 1964(2) to be the date on which the special road specified in regulation 1(2) below is open for use as a special road.

(2) The special road referred to in regulation 1(1) above is the special road authorised to be provided by the A1 Trunk Road (East of Haddington to Dunbar) Special Road Scheme 2000(3).

(3) These Regulations shall extend to Scotland only.

Interpretation

2.  In these Regulations “the special road” means the special road specified in regulation 1(2) above.

Speed Limit

3.  No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 70 mph on the special road.
