SCHEDULE 2 TO THE SCHEMESPECIFICATION OF TEMPORARY BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER SOUTH ESK, MONTROSE

  • Points of Commencement and Termination

    The temporary bridge will be located 10m to the west (upstream side) of the existing bridge for a length of 170 metres or thereby from Bridge Street to Esk Road as shown delineated in red on the said drawing no. 406 entitled “The Angus Council A92 Montrose Bridge Replacement Bridge Scheme 2003 Temporary Bridge Location Plan”.

    Public traffic will be diverted on to this bridge in advance of the demolition of the existing 1931 bridge. On completion of the replacement bridge, the public traffic will be transferred to the replacement bridge and the temporary bridge will be taken down.

    It is envisaged that the temporary bridge will be in place for 12 months.

  • Span

    The temporary bridge will consist of 14 no. 12 metre spans shown on drawing no. E/E02010/10/Rev.D entitled “The Angus Council A92 Montrose Bridge Replacement Bridge Scheme 2003 Temporary Bridge” annexed and signed as relative hereto.

  • Headway

    Free headway above the 12 metre wide spans is shown on the said drawing no. E/E02010/10/Rev.D and will form the temporary navigable channel of the River South Esk.

  • Waterway

    The bridge is a perpendicular crossing, navigation channel 12 metres width as shown on the said drawing no. E/E02010/10/Rev.D.
