The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 21(2) and (3) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003(1) hereby make the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2003.

Commencement

2.  The day appointed for the coming into force of schedule 3 to the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 is 5th July 2003.

Explanatory Note

(This note does not form part of the Order)

The Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (“the Act”) received Royal Assent on 11th March 2003. Sections 18, 19, 20 and 21 came into force on Royal Assent.

This Order brings the provisions of schedule 3 to the Act, which concerns the establishment of a new body, the Historic Environment Advisory Council for Scotland, into force on 5th July 2003.
