Courts in which civil legal aid is available

2.  At the end of paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 2 (courts in which civil legal aid is available) to the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986(1) there is inserted–

• “comprising an appeal to the Social Security Commissioners(2);

• comprising an appeal to the Child Support Commissioners(3)”.

Part I of Schedule 2 to the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 1986 was amended by S.I. 1999/1042 and S.S.I. 2001/42.

The Social Security Commissioners are appointed under Schedule 4 to the Social Security Act 1998 (c. 14).

The Child Support Commissioners are appointed under section 22 of the Child Support Act 1991 (c. 48).
