The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(2), as read with section 195(1), of the Road Traffic Act 1988(1), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 195(2) of the said Act, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation, commencement and extent

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Competitions and Trials) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st March 2002.

(2) These Regulations extend to Scotland only.

Amendment of the Motor Vehicles (Competitions and Trials) (Scotland) Regulations 1976

2.  In regulation 7 of the Motor Vehicles (Competitions and Trials) (Scotland) Regulations 1976(2)–

(a)for “£53.00” there is substituted “£65.00”; and

(b)for “£30.00” there is substituted “£37.00”.

Revocation

3.  The Motor Vehicles (Competition and Trials) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1992(3) are revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Motor Vehicles (Competitions and Trials) (Scotland) Regulations 1976 so as to increase the fees to be submitted to the Royal Scottish Automobile Club with applications for the authorisation of events.

The existing and the revised fees affected by these Regulations are as follows:
