These Regulations, which extend to Scotland only, further amend the Colours in Food Regulations 1995 by bringing up to date a reference to Directive 95/45/EC on specific purity criteria so as to cover its amendment by Directive 2001/50 EC as regards the purity specifications for mixed carotenes and beta-carotene.
Amendment of the Colours in Food Regulations 19952
In paragraph (1) of regulation 2 (interpretation) of the Colours in Food Regulations 19954 , in the definition of “Directive 95/45/EC”, there shall be inserted at the end the words “and Directive 2001/50 EC”5.
