The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 59(6)(b) of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994(1), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Local Statutory Provisions (Postponement from Repeal) (Scotland) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 28th December 2000.

Provisions

2.  The date on which the local statutory provisions described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to have effect is hereby postponed from 31st December 2000 until 31st December 2001(2).

  • The Angus District Licensing Board Liquor Licensing Byelaws 1978.

  • The Banff and Buchan District Licensing Board for the Eastern Licensing Division Byelaws 1978.

  • The Banff and Buchan District Licensing Board for the Western Licensing Division Byelaws 1978.

  • The City of Dundee District Licensing Board Byelaws for Licensed Premises 1978.

  • The Cumnock and Doon Valley District Licensing Board Byelaws 1979.

  • The Dunfermline District Licensing Board Byelaws 1978.

  • The Kilmarnock and Loudon District Licensing Board Byelaws 1984.

  • The Kilmarnock and Loudon District Licensing Board Amendment Byelaws 1992.

  • The Kirkcaldy District Licensing Board Byelaws 1977.

  • The Licensing Board for the Lewis and Harris Division of the Western Isles Islands Area Byelaws 1978.

  • The Licensing Board for the Uist and Barra Division of the Western Isles Islands Area Byelaws 1978.

  • The Midlothian District Licensing Board Byelaws 1977.

  • The North East Fife District Licensing Board Byelaws 1990.

  • The Renfrew District Licensing Board Byelaws 1980

  • The Renfrew District Licensing Board Stripper Byelaws 1986.

  • The Ross and Cromarty Licensing Board Byelaws 1984(3).

  • Amendment to the Ross and Cromarty Licensing Board Byelaws 1988.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order postpones the date on which the local statutory provisions listed in the Schedule to the Order shall cease to have effect under section 59(6) of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994. The date is postponed from 31st December 2000 until 31st December 2001.

1994 c. 39. The functions of the Secretary of State were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46).

The date specified in section 59(6) of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 was previously postponed in relation to, amongst others, the local statutory provisions described in the Schedule to this Order by S.S.I. 1999/156.
