The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 28I(1), (4) and (9) and 135(1) of Education (Scotland) Act 1980(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Provision of Information as to Schools) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000, and shall come into force on 12th December 2000.

Amendment of the Education (Provision of Information as to Schools) (Scotland) Regulations 1993

2.—(1) The Education (Provision of Information as to Schools) (Scotland) Regulations 1993(2) shall be amended in accordance with the following paragraphs.

(2) In regulations 2(2) and 3(2) for “paragraphs 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7” there shall be substituted “paragraphs 5 or 7”.

(3) In the Schedule paragraphs 2, 3 and 4 shall be omitted.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the provisions of the Education (Provision of Information as to Schools) (Scotland) Regulations 1993.

Regulation 2 deletes the requirement for schools to provide exam pass rates to the Scottish Ministers and the requirement for schools to provide information on staying-on rates.
