The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 28I(1), (4) and (9) and 135(1) of Education (Scotland) Act 1980(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

1980 c. 44; section 28I was inserted by section 17 of the Education (Schools) Act 1992 (c. 38); section 135(1) contains the definition of “prescribed” relevant to the exercise of statutory powers under which these Regulations are made.(
