1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Potatoes Originating in Egypt (Amendment) (No. 2) (Scotland) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 30th November 2000.
(2) These Regulations extend to Scotland only.
2. In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Potatoes Originating in Egypt Regulations 1998(1).
3.—(1) The principal Regulations shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3) below.
(2) In regulation 2 (interpretation) for the definition of “the Decision” there shall be substituted–
““the Decision” means Commission Decision 96/301/EC authorising member States temporarily to take additional measures against the dissemination ofPseudomonas solanacearum (Smith) Smith as regards Egypt(2) as amended by the instruments listed in the Schedule to these Regulations;”.
(3) After regulation 6 there shall be inserted the Schedule set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.
