The Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000

Citation, commencement, interpretation and extent

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 30th June 2000.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” means the Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Regulations 1997(1).

(3) These Regulations extend to Scotland only.

Amendment of principal Regulations

2.  In regulation 4 of the principal Regulations–

(a)in paragraph (1), for “2002” there shall be substituted “2003”; and

(b)in paragraph (2), for “2001” there shall be substituted “2002”.

3.  In regulation 6 of the principal Regulations–

(a)in paragraph (1), for “1st April 2002” there shall be substituted “1st April 2003”;

(b)in paragraph (2), for “1st April 2001 to 30th September 2001” there shall be substituted “1st April 2002 to 30th September 2002”; and

(c)in paragraph (3), for “1st October 2001 to 31st March 2002” there shall be substituted “1st October 2002 to 31st March 2003”.

4.  In column 2 of Schedule 6 to the principal Regulations–

(a)for each date in the year 2000, there shall be substituted “31st December 2001”; and

(b)for “2001” wherever it appears, there shall be substituted “2002”.

Revocation

5.  The Local Government Act 1988 (Competition) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1999(2) are hereby revoked.
