1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Contaminants in Food Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 30th December 1999.
(2) These Regulations apply to Scotland only.
2. In regulation 2(1) (interpretation) of the Contaminants in Food Regulations 1997(1), for the definition of “the Commission Regulation” there is substituted the following definition:–
““the Commission Regulation” means Commission Regulation (EC) No. 194/97 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs(2), as amended by Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1525/98(3), Commission Regulation (EC) No. 864/1999(4) and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1566/1999(5);”.
