Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Local Statutory Provisions (Postponement from Repeal) (Scotland) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 31st December 1999.

Provisions

2.—(1) The date on which the local statutory provision described in Part I of the Schedule to this Order shall cease to have effect is hereby postponed from 31st December 1999 until 31st July 2000.

(2) The date on which the local statutory provisions described in Part II of the Schedule to this Order shall cease to have effect is hereby postponed from 31st December 1999 until 31st December 2000.

PART I

PART II

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order postpones those local statutory provisions listed in the Schedule to the Order from ceasing to have effect on 31st December 1999 in terms of section 59(6)(b) of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994–

(a)to 31st July 2000 in the case of the provision specified in Part I to the Schedule; and

(b)to 31st December 2000 in the case of the provisions specified in Part II to the Schedule.
