Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (Orkney) (No. 3) (Scotland) Partial Revocation Order 1999 and shall come into force at 18.00 hours on 16th November 1999.

Revocation

2.  The Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (Orkney) (No. 3) (Scotland) Order 1999(2) is revoked insofar as it designates any part of the area set out in the Schedule to this Order.

SCHEDULE

The area of sea below high water springs enclosed by a line starting at 59°15'N 3°13'W; then east to a point at 59°15'N 3°W; then south to the north coast of Rousay at 59°10.7'N 3°W; then west, south and east along the shoreline of Rousay to a point at 59°07.7'N 3°W; then south to the north coast of Wyre at 59°07'N 3°W; then west, south and east to a point on the south coast of Wyre at 59°06.8'N 3°W; then south to a point on the mainland of Orkney at 59°04'N 3°W; then north and east along the mainland of Orkney to a point at 59°09.2'N 3°13'W; then north to the start point.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order partially revokes the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (Orkney) (No. 3) (Scotland) Order 1999 which prohibited–

(a)fishing for or taking scallops within the area designated in the Schedule to that Order (article 4);

(b)movement of such scallops out of that area (article 5); and

(c)landing, using in the preparation of processing for supply of food of, supplying and other specified activities in relation to, such scallops from the designated area (article 6).

The effect of this Order is to remove the prohibitions in respect of the area of sea designated in the Schedule to this Order.
