In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 79V of the Children Act 1989[1], the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations: Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Day Care and Child Minding (Functions of Local Authorities: Information, Advice and Training) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 3rd October 2005. For the Schedule to the Day Care and Child Minding (Functions of Local Authorities: Information, Advice and Training) (England) Regulations 2001[2] there shall be substituted the Schedule to these Regulations.
