The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1] and by section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990[2] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order[3], and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act[4], hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Montagu Hospital and the Bassetlaw Hospital and Community Services National Health Service Trusts (Dissolution) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2001.
Dissolution of NHS trusts
2. - (1) The Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Montagu Hospital National Health Service Trust established by the Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Montagu Hospital National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1990[5] is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.
(2) The Bassetlaw Hospital and Community Services National Health Service Trust established by the Bassetlaw Hospital and Community Services National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991[6] is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

This Order dissolves on 1st April 2001:
-
the Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Montagu Hospital National Health Service Trust;
-
the Bassetlaw Hospital and Community Services National Health Service Trust.
This Order should be read in conjunction with the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 2000. The Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals National Health Service Trust is to carry out certain functions previously carried out by the trusts which are dissolved by this Order.
