The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 8 of the Law of Distress Amendment Act 1888[1] and section 3 of the Law of Distress Amendment Act 1895[2], hereby makes the following Rules: - 1. These Rules may be cited as the Distress for Rent (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2000 and shall come into force on 1st December 2000. 2. In Appendix 3 to the Distress for Rent Rules 1988[3], the entry relating to Caerphilly shall be deleted. Irvine of Lairg, C. 5th October 2000 (This note is not part of the Rules) These Rules are consequential on the closure, by virtue of the Civil Courts (Amendment No. 2) Order 2000, of the county court at Caerphilly and remove references to it from the list of county courts in Appendix 3 to the Distress for Rent Rules 1988.
