Whereas the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions considers it appropriate for certain roads in the London borough of Brent to be GLA side roads in the interests of the management of traffic and the control of the waiting and loading of vehicles on or in the immediate vicinity of GLA roads: Now therefore the Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred by section 124A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[1] hereby makes the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the GLA Side Roads (London Borough of Brent) Designation Order 2000 and shall come into force on 19th June 2000. Designation of GLA side roads 2. - (1) The roads in the London borough of Brent specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby designated as GLA side roads[2]. (2) The description of a road includes the intersection of that road and any other road that crosses it at the same level. (3) In the Schedule "m" means metres. (4) In accordance with section 124A(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, 3rd July 2000 is hereby specified as the date on which the designated roads are to become GLA side roads. Brentfield Road between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 6m north of a point opposite the northern wall of 187 and 189 Brentfield Road. 4. Coles Green Road between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 23m south east of the south eastern kerbline measured on the western side. 5. Conduit Way between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of North Circular Road. 6. Dog Lane between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m south east of the north eastern kerbline of North Circular Road. 7. Drury Way between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and its junction with Besant Way. 8. Eastleigh Close between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of North Circular Road. 9. Edgware Road between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and its junction with Oxgate Lane. 10. Great Central Way between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m south east of a point opposite the party wall of 12 and 13 Iron Bridge Close, measured on the south western side. 11. Heather Road between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of North Circular Road. 12. Herne Close between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of North Circular Road. 13. Jackman Mews between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m north west of the north western kerbline of North Circular Road. 14. Links Road between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of North Circular Road. 15. Neasden Lane North between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 1.7m north west of a point opposite the party wall of 362 and 364 Neasden Lane North. 16. Randall Avenue between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of North Circular Road. 17. The Circle between its junction with North Circular Road (A406) and a point 10m south east of the south eastern kerbline of North Circular Road. 18. Unnamed service road (fronting 112 to 126 North Circular Road (A406)) -

(This note is not part of the Order) Section 272 of the Greater London Authority Act 1999 inserts a new section 124A into the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 whereby the Secretary of State may designate roads or proposed roads which are to be GLA side roads, for which Transport for London will be the traffic authority. This Order designates the roads in the London Borough of Brent specified in the Schedule as GLA side roads with effect from 3rd July 2000.
