EDUCATION, ENGLAND AND WALES

The North East London Education Association Order 1995

Whereas the powers conferred by section 220 of the Education Act 1993^[1] ("the Act") are exercisable in relation to Hackney Downs School, a county school in the London Borough of Hackney, ("the School") and whereas the Secretary of State for Education and Employment is of the opinion that the School should be conducted by a body corporate established under section 218 of the Act and that no suitable body corporate have been so established;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 218(1) and 220(2) of the Act the Secretary of State for Education and Employment hereby makes the following Order:

    1.    This Order may be cited as the North East London Education Association Order 1995.

    2.    There is hereby established a body corporate under the name "the North East London Education Association" which shall conduct the School from 1st September 1995.

This Order establishes the North East London Education Association and provides for Hackney Downs School in the London Borough of Hackney to be conducted by the education association from 1st September 1995.
