CUSTOMS AND EXCISE

The Export of Goods (Control) (Croatian and Bosnian Territories) (Revocation) Order 1994

Made 18th October 1994
Coming into force 19th October 1994

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred by section 1 of the Import, Export and Customs Powers (Defence) Act 1939[1] and now vested in him[2] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Export of Goods (Control) (Croatian and Bosnian Territories) (Revocation) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 19th October 1994.
        2.    The Export of Goods (Control) (Croatian and Bosnian Territories) Order 1993[3] is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order revokes the Export of Goods (Control) (Croatian and Bosnian Territories) Order 1993 which prohibited the export of goods to the United Nations Protected areas of Croatia and those areas of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the control of Bosnian Serb forces except under the authority of a licence granted by the Secretary of State, in accordance with Resolution 820 (1993) of the Security Council of the United Nations adopted on 17th April 1993.
    The prohibition on export of all goods to the United Nations Protected areas of Croatia and those areas of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the control of Bosnian Serb forces is now contained in the Former Yugoslavia (United Nations Sanctions) Order 1994 which also imposes further restrictions in relation to the Bosnian Serb controlled areas in accordance with Resolution 942 (1994) of the Security Council of the United Nations adopted on 23rd September 1994.
