The Local Government Act 1992 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1994

Made 1st June 1994

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 30(3) of the Local Government Act 1992[1], and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
    Citation and interpretation
        1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1992 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1994.

        (2)  In this Order "the 1992 Act" means the Local Government Act 1992.
    Provisions of the 1992 Act coming into force on 13th June 1994
        2.    Section 11 of the 1992 Act so far as it relates to paragraphs 2(1), 3, 4, 5, 9 and 10 of Schedule 1, and those paragraphs, shall come into force on 13th June 1994.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order brings into force section 11 of the Local Government Act 1992, so far as it relates to paragraphs 2(1), 3, 4, 5, 9 and 10 of Schedule 1 to the Act, and those paragraphs, on 13th June 1994. Paragraphs 2(1), 3 to 5 and 9 of that Schedule amend provisions in the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 and paragraph 10 amends section 2(3) of the Local Government Act 1988 (defined activities). All the provisions of Schedule 1 have now been brought into force.
