INTERNATIONAL IMMUNITIES AND PRIVILEGES

The Arms Control and Disarmament (Privileges and Immunities) Act 1988 (Guernsey) Order 1993

Made 27th October 1993
Coming into force in accordance with article 1

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 27th day of October 1993

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

    Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 2(3) of the Arms Control and Disarmament (Privileges and Immunities) Act 1988[1], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Arms Control and Disarmament (Privileges and Immunities) Act 1988 (Guernsey) Order 1993 and shall come into force forthwith.
        2.    The Arms Control and Disarmament (Privileges and Immunities) Act 1988 shall extend to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, subject to the following modifications:
       (a) section 1(1) shall be omitted;
       (b) in section 1(2) for the words "Act of 1964" there shall be substituted the words "the Diplomatic Privileges Act 1964 as it has effect in the United Kingdom"; and the words following "disarmament" shall be omitted;
       (c) in section 1(3) for the words "the Secretary of State" there shall be substituted the words "Her Majesty's Attorney General for Guernsey";
       (d) in section 2, subsections (2) and (3) shall be omitted.

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order extends the Arms Control and Disarmament (Privileges and Immunities) Act 1988, subject to specified modifications, to the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
