MATRIMONIAL CAUSES
JURISDICTION

The Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1993

Made 19th July 1993
Coming into force 1st September 1993

    The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33(1) of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984[1], hereby makes the following Order—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 1st September 1993.
        2.—(1)  For the purposes of section 33(1) of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984, the Morpeth County Court shall be a divorce county court.

        (2)  The amendment set out in the Schedule to this Order shall be made to the Civil Courts Order 1983[2].
