The Superannuation (National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside) Order 1990

Laid before Parliament 28th March 1990
Coming into force 31st March 1990

    The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(5) of the Superannuation Act 1972 [1]and now vested in them [2] hereby make the following Order:—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 31st March 1990.
        2.    Employment by the Board of Trustees of the National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside is hereby added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    The Board of Trustees of the National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside (the Board) was incorporated by The Merseyside Museums and Galleries Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/226) under section 46 of the Local Government Act 1985 (c. 51). This order adds employment by the Board to the employments and offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972 so that the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme and the Civil Service Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme made under section 1 of that Act may apply to persons employed by the Board.
