FEES

The County Court Fees (Amendment) Order 1988

Made 14th March 1988
Laid before Parliament 21st March 1988
Coming into force 12th April 1988

    The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 128 of the County Courts Act 1984[1] , with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the County Court Fees (Amendment) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 12th April 1988.
        2.    In Fee 1(ii) in Schedule 1 to the County Court Fees Order 1982[2] , for the words"(other than an order freeing a child for adoption or an adoption order or where Fee 9 applies)" there shall be substituted the words—

        (other than—
          "(a) an order freeing a child for adoption, or
          (b) an adoption order, or
          (c) the registration of a custody order in another part of the United Kingdom, or
          (d) where Fee 9 applies)" .

        3.    After Fee 1(iii) in the said Schedule there shall be inserted, in column 1, the words"(iv) On an application for the registration of a custody order in another part of the United Kingdom" and, in column 2, the words"£10" .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)
    This Order introduces a fee on an application to a county court for the registration of a custody order in another part of the United Kingdom under the Family Law Act 1986 (c. 55).
