Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 3(2) and (3) of schedule 3 of the Judiciary and Courts (Scotland) Act 20081 and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with paragraph 3(4) of schedule 3 of that Act the Scottish Ministers have consulted the Lord President of the Court of Session.
In accordance with section 71(4) of that Act, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before, and approved by resolution of, the Scottish Parliament.
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (Procedure for Appointment of Members) Amendment Regulations 2020 and come into force on 27 April 2020.

In regulation 2(3)(a) of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (Procedure for Appointment of Members) Regulations 20152 (Selection for appointment), after “sheriffs” insert “and summary sheriffs”.
