Interpretation

2.  In these Regulations—

“the 1993 Act” means the Pension Schemes Act 1993(1);

“the 2013 Act” means the Public Service Pensions Act 2013;

“the new scheme” means a scheme established by regulations made under section 1(1) and (2)(e) of the 2013 Act for the payment of retirement pensions to or in respect of health service workers for Scotland; and

“the old scheme” means the National Health Service Pension Scheme (Scotland), as constituted by the National Health Service Superannuation Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2011(2) and the National Health Service Superannuation Scheme (2008 Section) (Scotland) Regulations 2013(3).
