Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(3) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 20031 and all other powers enabling them to do so.

In accordance with section 18(4)2 of that Act, a draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Treatment of Revenue Scotland as Specified Authority) Order 2014 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Treatment of Revenue Scotland as specified authority2

Revenue Scotland is to be treated, for the purposes of or in connection with any appointment to that body, as if it were a specified authority within the meaning of section 2(1) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (the Commissioner’s functions).
