The Coronavirus Act 2020 (Extension of Powers to Act for the Protection of Public Health) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022

Coming into operation in accordance with Article 1

The Department of Health1, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90(2) of the Coronavirus Act 20202, makes the following Order.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as The Coronavirus Act 2020 (Extension of Powers to Act for the Protection of Public Health) Order (Northern Ireland) 2022 and shall come into operation at the time it is made.

Alteration of expiry date2

Section 48 of, and Schedule 18 to, the Coronavirus Act 2020 do not expire at the time when they would otherwise expire and expire instead on 24th September 2022.

This order extends the expiry date of section 48 of, and Schedule 18 to, the Coronavirus Act 2020 to 24 September 2022.
