1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Commissioner for Survivors of Institutional Childhood Abuse) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021.
(2) This Order shall come into operation on 25th February 2021 and shall have effect from 2nd November 2020.
2. There shall be added to the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972, the Office of Commissioner for Survivors of Institutional Childhood Abuse(3).

This Order adds the Office of Commissioner for Survivors of Institutional Childhood Abuse to the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972, for which the Department of Finance may make pension schemes. It has retrospective effect from 2nd November 2020 by virtue of Article 3(7) of the 1972 Order.

The Office of Commissioner for Survivors of Institutional Childhood Abuse was established by the Historical Institutional Abuse (Northern Ireland) Act 2019, (2019 c.31).
