Citation and interpretation
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Policing and Crime Act 2017 (Commencement No.2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2018.
(2) In this Order “the 2017 Act” means the Policing and Crime Act 2017.
Commencement
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of Chapter 1 of Part 9 of the 2017 Act is 28th June 2018–
(a)section 168 (disregarding certain convictions etc for abolished offences: Northern Ireland) (which inserts Chapter 5 of Part 5 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012(1));
(b)section 169 (posthumous pardons for convictions etc of certain abolished offences: Northern Ireland);
(c)section 170 (other pardons for convictions etc of certain abolished offences: Northern Ireland);
(d)section 172 (sections 169 to 171: supplementary).
