Citation and interpretation
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Employment Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2017.
(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Employment Act (Northern Ireland) 2016.
Commencement
2.—(1) Sections 13 to 17 of the Act shall come into operation on 1st October 2017.
(2) Section 27 and Schedule 3 of the Act shall come into operation on 1st October 2017 only in respect of repeals to the Employment Rights (Northern Ireland) Order 1996(1).
