Amendment of the Pensions Act3

The Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 201518 is amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).

In section 22(1) (general definitions) in the definition of “up-rating increase”—
a
at the end of paragraph (a), omit “or”; and
b
after paragraph (b) insert—
, or
c
an increase in the rate of the state pension because of regulations under section 10 which make provision corresponding or similar to section 9(3) or Schedule 4;

In paragraph 3(1) of Schedule 9 (pension sharing: up-rating state pension under section 13)—
a
at the end of paragraph (b), omit “and”; and
b
after paragraph (b) insert—
ba
the rate of any state pension to which the person is entitled under regulations made under section 10 which make provision corresponding or similar to section 7 and Schedules 3 and 4, and
