Transfer of functions of Department of the Environment

8.—(1) The functions which immediately before the transfer date are exercisable by the Department of the Environment—

(a) under or for the purposes of the statutory provisions set out in Part 1 of Schedule 5 are transferred as from that date to the Department for Communities;

(b) under or for the purposes of the statutory provisions set out in Part 2 of that Schedule are transferred as from that date to the Department for Infrastructure;

(c) under or for the purposes of any other statutory provision are transferred as from that date to the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs.

(2) The functions transferred to the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs under paragraph (1) include the functions of the Department of the Environment under or for the purposes of the Government Resources and Accounts Act (Northern Ireland) 2001 in relation to the financial year ending on 31^st March 2016.
