Institution of and time limit for prosecutions33

Without prejudice to any enactment relating to the place where proceedings may be taken, proceedings for an offence under specified feed law may be taken in the place where the person accused resides or carries on business.

No prosecution for an offence under these Regulations or Part 2 of the Animal Feed (Composition, Marketing and Use Regulations (Northern Ireland) 201624 may be begun after the expiry of —
a
three years from the commission of the offence; or
b
one year from its discovery by the prosecutor,
whichever is the earlier.
