PART 2 CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS

Amendment of the Maternity and Parental Leave etc. Regulations

21.—(1) The Maternity and Parental Leave etc. Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999(1) are amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).

(2) In regulation 2(1) (interpretation) after the definition of “parental responsibility” insert—

““personal independence payment” means personal independence payment under Part 5 of the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015;”.

(3) In paragraph 7 of Schedule 2(2) (default provisions in respect of parental leave) for “or armed forces independence payment” substitute “, armed forces independence payment or personal independence payment”.
