Part 1 of these Regulations establishes a scheme for the payment of pensions and other benefits to firefighters in Northern Ireland from 1st April 2015. The scheme so established is a career average revalued earnings scheme.

Tapered protection member not eligible to join this scheme17

While a person (P) is a tapered protection member of the FPS or the NFPS, P is not eligible to be an active member of this scheme in respect of that scheme employment.
