Amendment of the Pension Schemes Act
3. In section 42 of the Pension Schemes Act(1) (effect of entitlement to guaranteed minimum pensions on payment of social security benefits) at the end insert—
“(10) In this section a reference to “additional pension” does not include any amount of additional pension attributable to units of additional pension.
(11) For units of additional pension, see section 14A of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992.”.
Section 42 was amended by paragraph 54 of Schedule 1 to the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (Northern Ireland) Order 1994, paragraph 19 of Schedule 2, and paragraph 36 of Schedule 3, to the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 (S.I. 1995/3213 (N.I. 22)) and paragraph 17 of Schedule 8 to the Welfare Reform and Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/3147 (N.I.)) and is modified by S.R. 1987 No. 296 and S.R. 1996 No. 618
