In these Regulations–

• “the Board” means the Board of Trustees of the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust;

• “the Department” means the Department of Justice;

• “former police officer” means a former member of—

  1. a

     the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

  2. b

     the Police Service of Northern Ireland Reserve;

  3. c

     the Royal Ulster Constabulary; or

  4. d

     the Royal Ulster Constabulary Reserve;

• “the Police Association” has the same meaning as in section 32 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 19982;

• “the Trust” means the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust.
