Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (Membership, Procedure, Functions and Committee) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014 and shall come into operation on 2nd May 2014.
Amendment of Regulation 17 of the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (Membership, Procedure, Functions and Committee) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012
2.—(1) The Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (Membership, Procedure, Functions and Committee) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012(1) are amended in accordance with paragraph (2).
(2) In Regulation 17(2) (Case Management Review function)—
(a)omit the word “and” at the end of paragraph (2)(b); and
(b)after paragraph (2)(c) add—
“; and
(d)the Safeguarding Board determines that there is significant learning to be gained from the case management review which, if applied effectively, will lead to substantial improvements in practice in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in Northern Ireland.”.
