Coming into operation
The Department for Social Development is designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to measures relating to allowances made to women on maternity leave.
Accordingly the Department for Social Development makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of that Act.
